Handling Returns and Refunds
FAs a Swaylock's Surfshop Seller, it is your responsibility to work with your buyer to resolve differences. Communication is usually the key – simply explaining a delay or reassuring a buyer puts most issues to rest. On those rare occasions when the problem persists, it is up to you and your buyer to reach a mutually agreeable solution.
Returns
If, as a Swaylock's Surfshop Seller, you offer to accept returns and the buyer wants a refund, please request that your buyer pack up the item and return it to you. In cases where the seller is not responsible for the return, the return shipping costs should be covered by the buyer.
To issue a refund, Swaylock's can assist you in refunding your buyer only if this was a BuyItNow! transaction and it is within 60 days of the transaction. For all other refunds, you must handle it yourself.
BuyItNow! Refunds
Please take the following steps:
If you have already been paid by Swaylock's Surfshop for the item please do the following:
- Login to your PayPal account and proceed to your account overview page. Usually the first screen you see when you login.
- Find the transaction you want to refund and click "Details".
- On the Transaction Details page, scroll to the very bottom of the page and look for the "Issue Refund" link. Click that and follow the refund instructions given by PayPal. Be sure to include a note to Swaylock's regarding the transaction and that it is a refund.
- Swaylock's Surfshop will complete the refund to the Buyer.
If you haven't been paid by Swaylock's Surfshop for the item you sold:
Please send us an email indicating you would like to refund a buyer. Please be sure to include the following in the email:
Buyer's name
Buyer's Swaylock's Surfshop member name
Buyer's email address
Transaction ID
Amount to be refunded.
Swaylock's Surfshop will proceed with the refund.
