AAAAAAAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!

I started skinning a new blank this afternoon. As I was doing the last pass on the left side, the motor of the Skil just went mad as the barrel stopped turning. Even before I released the trigger, I knew what had happened:

There's an E-bay store that seems to carry a few of these belts but they ship only to the States and Canada... Anyone knows where I can get one?

Argh is right.

Now, there's nothing magical about the Skil belt, it's just a toothed drive/timing type belt of a paticular size. So....

Might be they have something that'd work?

hope that's of use

Re: [balsa] AAAAAAAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!

Doc, thank you too. I had thought of that already, but the last time this happened to me with my old Ryobi, I tried this but to no avail: many belts would ALMOST fit... ALMOST...

But looking for such companies, I noticed one that makes custom orders on precise specs. Wondering what it would cost to have a small series made as i am sure some people out there would be interested...

Hi Balsa,

glad you got that sorted. One thing you should check though is a mail forwarder in the US. It helps when you encounter someone who will not(or can't) ship outside the US, and in many cases it's less expensive too.
