Re: [marlee] Still searching for Shapers...
Very fashionable. What's the salary that you're offering? I may be interested...even though I only have two boards under my belt..not like that matters anyway. Sign me up.
Re: [sirwanksalot] Still searching for Shapers...
Quote:Very fashionable. What's the salary that you're offering?
It`s not about any job to work for us!
We`re looking for Shapers who likes to test out our fleeces.
They are very thin and we transfer any Grafic your/your Clients likes to have on thier board. The material is uv-resistant, restistant against solvent and the colours get burned in.
It´s about Shapers who like to offer thier boards for clients with whishes to realise individuell grafics in thier customboard (name or any other grafic...).
Re: [marlee] Still searching for Shapers...
Oh.. its spam to sell a product! LOL!
Good luck, I personally don't think it is very interesting to put a fleece on the board. What does this doe to laminations? weight? Does it work with Epoxy or Polyester?
RE:Marlee, awe, just kidding about the spam.. seriously though, if it doesn't harm the lamination then I guess it would be interesting for those needing complex graphics. A few years ago there were boards marketed by Oxbow with ornate floral prints, is it like that kind of thing?
Re: [surfer_dave] Still searching for Shapers...
I don`t think it`s spam.
At first place i`am looking for people who like to test out our fleeces and the samples are for free.
We are 2 guys who are proud to developed this product.
And there is not much $ left to annouce that.
And, tell me where should we put the treat, if its not in the Industry Talk Section??!!
I think there are some people out there who likes to have their design on customboard. And a lot of Grafics are not relaizable via spraying.
Weight is about 0,50-0,60 gr/m2.
It works with Epoxy and Polyester!!
Re: [marlee] Still searching for Shapers...
Marlee,
Looks like an excellent idea. I think this forum isn't as widely read as others, so please consider placing an "Announcement" on SwayBay or place a banner ad for more exposure on the site. It's cheap.
Goodluck,
Swaylock.
Re: [Swaylock] Still searching for Shapers...
ok swaylock,
i`ll check your offer. thanks.
Re: [marlee] Still searching for Shapers...
so I can make something spiffy in photoshop, send it to you dudes, have you print it out on fiberglass, and send it to me and then when glassing my board I use your glass? Or is it a seperate cloth?
How does it work? I kinda like don't want to mess with the structural integrity of my board.

And my soul at rest.
Re: [hiroprotagonist] Still searching for Shapers...
right. It´s not printed on fiber. It`s a very thin fleece (like texil on poly base).
we tested it with shapers, which laminate it directly in blancos.
If you like to test it in advance, send me you adress and i`ll send you a smal sample.
Re: [marlee] Still searching for Shapers...
We got now designed some Graficstripes.
For Shapers, -it`s for laminate in your boards.
these are not full boardgrafic as the others we offer. (Thats why they cheaper)
wanna have a look:

Re: [marlee] Still searching for Shapers...
Send me a big skull!
Resinhead
-Some people are like Slinkies- Not really good for anything but bring a smile to your face when pushed down stairs.
Re: [resinhead] Still searching for Shapers...
how much for printing a file? Do u have anything opaque? If not theres no reason I can't jsut print my graphics on rice paper or something.
Re: [TurboJets] Still searching for Shapers...
we got opaque fleeces, but its just for kite- or skimboardshaper because of the weight we don`t recommend that for surfboards. We dont use ricepaper because the colours are not that brilliant. sometimes they blur out and the graficborders are not that sharp...
Prices are about 20 for single Elements and 50-60 for a completgrafic fleece. For more Info, send pm.
Re: [marlee] Still searching for Shapers...
We got a new Design in Store. Personalised for HaiQ, Hamburg Germany. -We made that graficfleece. Shaped by Gero, Fatum Surfboards, Portugal.

Re: [pauluk] Still searching for Shapers...
I don't think airbrush gets replaced....art is art whether it's Van Gogh, Renoir or Warhol.
Re: [marlee] Still searching for Shapers...
Two boards under your belt.!"Not that it matters"...............excuuuuuuse me. You sound like one of those people that are asked "what are you going to be when you grow up"?
.....and you reply "famous".
"okay, famous for what?"
"Nothing, just famous".
Rembrandt? Hendrix? Chuck Yeager? Lance Armstrong?
Who are you?
Famous.
Re: [DeadShaper] Still searching for Shapers...
think, nothing will be replaced. Airbrush will have it`s exsitence, our fleeces also...
Nevertheless here the pict of the 007 trailer fleece in board...

Re: [marlee] Still searching for Shapers...
Re: [marlee] Still searching for Shapers...
Hi Marlee,
just wondering if you can give any details on what cloth the fleece is? I've seen some thin fleeces in shops, but they are polypropylene, which wouldn't stick?
I'm just want to try some experiments with a thin cloth to help with my laminating, not printing designs.
Love the fleeces you've been putting out by the way, they look fantastic.

Re: [muhleder] Still searching for Shapers...
did i already showed these grafics..
Re: [marlee] Still searching for Shapers...
Here`re some picts of TERRY HOLLETT, Shaper/Owner, GUNNER SURFBOARDS-Wales. Fleece/Silk is called Surfblume.

Re: [marlee] Still searching for Shapers...
Hi Marlee,
been meaning to tell you the print came out unreal.
It was easy and the board is amazingly light in weight,
almost like it weighs less than normal somehow...
Wondering if custom prints will be available if I send an
Best Regards,
George
Re: [marlee] Still searching for Shapers...
hi Marlee, thanks for the inclusion. your silk has really transformed the board, i recommend freaks of fashion and their silks/fleeces. i wish id glossed the board now but i know for next time, will let you know customers reaction on delivery. finished pics will follow. regards terry
