Acetone

Commonly used chemical solvent used to wipe clean tools and equipment of polyester resin. Also known as Di-methylketone. Used for cleaning composite surfaces prior to bonding and also metal surfaces prior to other treatments. Can also be used to remove uncured epoxy resins from tools and other items. Classed as *Seriously Flammable* with a flash point of minus 4 degrees Farenheit (-20 C), burns with a light, almost invisible flame in daylight. Has a high evaporation rate.
